Is Spending Money on Resume Writing Worth It?

Is Spending Money on Resume Writing Worth It?Is spending money on resume writing worth it? I asked this question to my best friend and colleague, Paula, when I first heard her talk about the need for effective resume writing.I have always loved to write resumes because I am always looking for that extra edge. I love having my resume stand out and get noticed by the employer. I want to shine in that field, because I don't want to be an employee there for a very long time! I also want to have a personal relationship with the employer. Therefore, it seems obvious that you will have to learn a lot of information before you begin trying to write your resume for a particular company's needs. However, it is important to remember that there are different kinds of jobs. There are those who would rather go with cold, clinical written words as opposed to emotive written words. I know just how frustrating it can be when you have spent months researching, writing, and then finally submitting your resume to someone and it gets buried in a pile of the other resumes that have been submitted. As far as I am concerned, resume writing should never be a way to pad your wallet or to take shortcuts. A resume needs to give a potential employer as much information as possible, so they know what kind of person you are.If you spend some time researching the resume writing services available, you will find that a few of them offer samples of their work. While these samples can not replicate the experience completely, they can give you a general idea of how their resume writing service works. After you have received one of these samples, you can ask your potential employer about whether or not he or she would be interested in working with you. Remember, most employers hire based on experience. You would not hire someone who has never held a job before, would you?Of course, the resume is only one piece of the puzzle when you are trying to get a job. After all, without experience, how could yo u learn and make the necessary changes necessary to make you more marketable? Most people who try to get a job hire someone else to do the resume. But, if you are not skilled at writing, you may consider hiring someone who is. Resume writing is a skill in and of itself.
